Summary

  • The Madrid City Council has convened the 2023 Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies Awards

Aim
The purpose of this support program is to recognize and give visibility to startups and professionals who have excelled in proposing technological solutions based on the use of artificial intelligence and other disruptive technologies. It is also intended to:

  • Promote the production and adoption of this technology and other related ones.
  • Improve the performance of products and services offered by companies.
  • Strengthen the economic fabric of the sector.

All of this will strengthen the technological innovation sector in Madrid, making the most valuable entrepreneurs visible to the entire economic sector of the city.

Concurrence
Entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises and small businesses may attend, with solutions to the 12 challenges proposed in section 4 of the bases of the call, through the use of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies (big data, blockchain, digital twins, metaverse, etc.).

Requirements

  • Projects have to provide technological innovations that use artificial intelligence or other advanced technologies: big datablockchain, digital twins, metaverse or internet of things, among others.
  • The proposed solutions must present a level of maturity of the technology or Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) between TRL 1 and TRL 7. The classification of projects according to their level of technological maturity is widespread in the world of innovation, however it can be consulted in various references, including the one made by the European Commission in its research and innovation framework programs.

 In addition, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be constituted as a micro or small business, according to the definition established in the recommendation of the European Commission of May 6, 2003.
  2.  Be constituted in one of the following legal forms:
    • Natural person: individual or autonomous entrepreneur or limited liability entrepreneur.
    • Legal person: public limited company, limited company, new company limited company, labor limited company, cooperatives.
  3.  Have fiscal residence in Spain.

Entrepreneurs or companies that had been awarded in the previous edition of 2022, called «Premios Blockchains and Advanced Technologies", may not be candidates for the prizes of this call.

Awards
The total economic endowment of this prize amounts to 480,000 euros, divided into 12 prizes of 40,000 euros.

The term of submission of applications It will end on September 2.
