The Madrid City Council, through the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, and Kitchen Channel has renewed its commitment to the campaign “Markets of Madrid, we cook with you”The initiative, which was launched with great success last April and has now been relaunched, aims to support traditional markets, whose main exponent are the 46 municipal markets in our city, and raise awareness of their importance in the local economy .
The campaign revolves around the program of Kitchen Channel 'We cook with you', in which chef Sergio Fernández reinterprets the recipes that different market vendors and buyers send him. The chef brings his touch to the different dishes and reveals some tricks to surprise the rest of the diners.
Thanks to the outdoor campaign the recipes of the program will be more at hand than ever. The people of Madrid will be able to enjoy them on public transport thanks to the perching that will be installed on 40 bus lines in the city, where they will find delicious recipes made with the healthy and top quality products that we can find every day in the municipal markets. The campaign will be visible on these media until October 20.
Along with this, more than 1,000 posters will be placed on lampposts and 110 canopies to remind consumers of the important role that markets play in the social, cultural and economic life of the different Madrid neighborhoods.
Finally, throughout September and October, Kitchen Channel recovers in its programming the programs dedicated to the Madrid Markets, which will be disseminated through the web and its social networks.
