Celebration of the second phase of the VIII edition of the 2018 Emprendedoras Award

Summary

The 40 projects selected for their originality, creativity and innovation, 20 for each of the categories, have made a brief presentation before the jury, lasting 2 minutes, revealing the key aspects of the idea or business project.

The City of Madrid has had the collaboration of Womenalia, the Villanueva University Center , SEE ME , Magazine Entrepreneurs, and the Hotel Business Association of Madrid (AEHM) who have been part of the jury:

·         Concepción Díaz de Villegas, general director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council

·         Esther Caurín, from the General Subdirectorate of Entrepreneurs and SMEs of the Madrid City Council

·         Valle López, from Womenalia

·         Javier Inaraja, from Emprendedores magazine

·         Michael's Sea  and Pablo Batlle, from the Madrid Hotel Business Association

·         Isabel Carrascosa, from the Spanish Association of Businesswomen

Once the presentation to the jury was concluded, they selected the 10 most original, creative and innovative candidates (5 for each category) that move on to the next phase. The finalists and the projects that will therefore compete for the 2018 Entrepreneurs Award are:

·         In the IDEA category:

The 10 selected candidates will have a maximum period of three months to prepare, develop and improve the Business Plan. To do this, they will have at their disposal the help and supervision of the technical services, as well as the spaces of co-working of the network of business incubators of the Madrid City Council.

The 10 finalist contestants will be called for their participation in the third phase, Demo Day, performed before the jury and open to the public. In it, the candidates will make a final presentation with the final presentation of their project. Presentation time will be 5 minutes.
