The II Entrepreneurs Meeting held in the Carabanchel nursery has been inaugurated by Miguel Ángel Redondo, delegate of the Government Area of Economy, Innovation and Employment of the Madrid City Council, who, with direct and exciting words, has conveyed to the attendees the importance for the city of the figure of the entrepreneur and his commitment to continue supporting him with realities such as business incubators.
Next, the head of the Delegated Area of Entrepreneurship, Employment and Innovation, Ángel Niño, moderated a round table with 5 entrepreneurial people from the incubator network in different phases of maturation of their project. The councilor has shown great knowledge of the day-to-day running of the business, and it is not in vain that he himself developed a project before assuming his responsibilities at the City Council. Ángel Niño has highlighted the good situation for entrepreneurship that we live in the city, stating that “the time to undertake is now.”
In the round table the problems, challenges and hopes presented by the development of innovative initiatives of this type were discussed. The entrepreneurs María Ángeles Anguita from +Que2 babis, project in the pre-incubation phase in the Vicálvaro nursery, David Espinas from Deltana, graduated project in the Carabanchel nursery, Jesús Luengo from Artax Games, housed in the Vicálvaro nursery, Rosa Serrano from Chuic, a jewelry company made with 3D printing from the Vallecas nursery, and Miguel Ángel García from Rocanrol, an audiovisual production company advised by the Vicálvaro nursery, have talked about their positive experience using the services of the network of nurseries and have also made some suggestions to improve it.
After the discussion, attendees were able to see first-hand the high level of the proposals of the 24 participating exhibiting companies that are part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the incubator network and were also able to enjoy a catering area throughout the day. with a delicious tasting of products and drinks courtesy of the sponsors. During the event there was also a session of Speed Networking in which entrepreneurial people were able to exchange experiences, ideas and advise each other.
At the same time, a series of interesting presentations were given by the sponsors of the event: Sage, Iberoinform, Banco Sabadell, Aval Madrid, and SEN, as well as the collaborators ENISA and IBM, who enlightened the attendees about the latest trends in business technology and finance.
The event concluded with the presentation of recognition to the sponsors for their collaboration, as well as to those companies and entrepreneurial people from the network of nurseries who have managed to stand out for their achievements.
In the innovation category, Tamoe from the Vicálvaro nursery was recognized, in the job creation section the work of Engineering, Studies and European Projects from the Villaverde nursery was valued, and Alberto Carrillo from Visual Illusion of the Villaverde nursery was recognized for his international vision. Moratalaz nursery, and in the environment category the company Ecolotum from the Carabanchel nursery was selected.
A special recognition for representing the key values necessary to develop any entrepreneurial project was also given to Chema Nieto from Socialniu, who made a heartfelt speech of thanks to the network of nurseries.
With its more than 190 attendees and 24 participating companies, the II Entrepreneurs Meeting is consolidated as a meeting point for the Madrid Emprende entrepreneurial ecosystem, with the intention of continuing to grow in its future editions.
