Eurizon, winner of the Entrepreneurs Award 2019

Summary

The deputy mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, and the delegate of the Madrid City Council's Department of Economy, Innovation and Employment, Miguel Ángel Redondo, have presented the IX Emprendedoras 2019 Award this morning. With this award, Madrid wants to contribute to the recognition of original projects , creative and innovative undertaken by women with the aim of promoting and boosting female entrepreneurship, job creation and increased economic activity in the city.
In this IX edition of the Emprendedoras Award, the first prize has gone to EURIZON SL, for his contribution to the agri-food sector through his consultancy work with a view to achieving European projects. The second prize has been for MOMOC REAL PEOPLE SL for his work in developing footwear without animal skin, his 100% sustainable work and innovation in design. The runner-up has recognized I+DB ACOUSTIC SL its contribution to the absorption of noise and environmental pollution. In total, 18,000 euros in cash have been distributed along with the contribution in kind by the collaborators of the award: WomenaliaSEE ME, the Hotel Business Association of Madrid (AEHM), the King Juan Carlos University (URJC) and wave madrid.

In her speech, Villacís has assured that "from the Madrid City Council we are working to eliminate any gender gap that exists in the field of female entrepreneurship and, in this way, favor more women to achieve their economic and personal independence".


For her part, Redondo referred to "the employment generation capacity of entrepreneurs" and underlined "the heroism that is involved, on many occasions, in undertaking as a woman".
The delegate from the Economy, Innovation and Employment area has also expressed the will of the Madrid City Council to be a driving force for Madrid entrepreneurs.
