The Madrid City Council has inaugurated the urban exhibition 'Travel to the flavors of the world, stay in the Madrid Markets', that proposes a photographic and gastronomic journey through the flavors of the whole world and without leaving the capital, through its iconic markets.
The initiative has been promoted by the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Government Area of Equity, Social Rights and Employment of the Madrid City Council, in collaboration with the magazine Condé Nast Traveler. The exhibition shows 10 photographs of the iconic Condé Nast title dedicated to travel, gastronomy and lifestyle, which aim to take travelers to the most exotic places in the world without leaving Madrid. These photos are accompanied by illustrations that represent and locate the 45 municipal markets of the city. With this initiative we want to strengthen the brand Madrid markets as a sign of quality, generating added value to the shopping experience, and highlighting the adaptation of these spaces to the new cultural and leisure demands. Likewise, this exhibition contributes to boosting the tourist dimension of many of Madrid's markets, positioned in their own right as a must-see for tourists who, on their trips, want to discover the essence of the city.
The Condé Nast Traveler photographs that can be seen on Calle Serrano are a selection of some of the best covers and images from different parts of the world published by the magazine in recent years, and include works by photographers Pablo Zamora, Coke Bartrina , Beatriz Janer, Yvonne Venegas, Jero Álvarez, Antoni & Arantxa, Ana Nance, among others.
