FRAME and DSIGÑ CLOUD win the 2018 Entrepreneurs Award

Summary

The Entrepreneurship Awards is the effort of the Madrid City Council to promote, encourage, support, encourage and motivate the entrepreneurial capacity of women as well as contribute to the recognition of original, creative and innovative projects developed by women to promote and promote female entrepreneurship, as well as the generation employment and increased economic activity in the city of Madrid.

Those attending this act were received by four meninas members of the family Meninas Madrid Gallery to which a new member has joined: the Entrepreneurial Menina as a symbol of female entrepreneurship.

The event was led by begona tormo, a journalist with extensive experience, and began with the words of Concha Díaz de Villegas, general director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council in which he welcomed the attendees and the participating entrepreneurs on behalf of the mayoress of Madrid, Manuela Carmena: "The Madrid City Council supports entrepreneurship and especially female entrepreneurship, financially endowing these awards that are already on their way Eighth edition."

The dynamics of Demo Day consisted of each of the finalist projects, both in the idea category and in the company category, taking the stage and presenting their project in 5 timed minutes.

The winners of the 2018 Entrepreneurs Award were:

In the category idea, the first prize endowed with a cash prize of €6,000 went to FRAME  specialized service of drones equipped with artificial intelligence for the location and rescue of victims in the event of catastrophes.

In addition, by the sponsors it includes:

  • Access to the training offer of the Business Area of the Villanueva University Center
  • Publication of an interview in Womenalia, advertising in Womennews, 60,000 button impressions in Womenalia and dissemination on social networks.
  • Free membership fee for 1 year and dissemination in the Spanish Association of Business Women.
  • Interview in Entrepreneurs magazine
  • Dissemination on the web and social networks of the Madrid Hotel Business Association as well as a gastronomic experience in a 5-star hotel in Madrid (for two people)

The ssecond prize endowed with €1,000 went to CONSTRUCTION SITE company that offers comprehensive reform and interior design services in homes, hiring mainly women. 

In the company category the first prize endowed with a cash prize of €10,000 went to CLOUD DESIGN, a studio specialized in intelligent 3D design and three-dimensional digitalization of real estate assets.

In addition, by the sponsors it includes:

  • Access to the training offer of the Business Area of the Villanueva University Center
  • Publication of an interview in Womenalia, advertising in Womennews, 60,000 button impressions in Womenalia and dissemination on social networks
  • Free membership fee for 1 year and dissemination in the Spanish Association of Business Women.
  • Interview in Entrepreneurs magazine
  • Dissemination on the web and social networks of the Hotel Business Association of Madrid as well as a weekend in a 5-star hotel in Madrid and a gastronomic experience in the same hotel (2 nights for 2 people)

The second prize endowed with €1,000 went to VOICE, a service that allows communication in 14 languages, 24 hours a day and from anywhere in the world.

The delivery of the prizes took charge of the delegate of the Equity, Social Rights and Employment Area, Marta Higueras Garrobo, accompanied by the councilor of the Popular municipal group, Almudena Maillo del Valle, and the councilor of the municipal group of Ciudadanos, Miguel Angel Redondo.

In the category idea were finalists:

  • HOOP project, presented by Silvia de los Ríos together with Samanta, Patricia and Javier. HOOP is an innovative platform for remote rehabilitation, communication and monitoring between therapists and patients with Parkinson's disease. Being downloadable on mobile devices allows patients to be in communication and do the exercises from anywhere.
  • ROOM 717 project, presented by Ana Blanco, is an online fashion store specializing in demi-couture garments. The inspiration, manufacturing, fabrics and techniques will have a Spanish imprint. The star garment is the pareo skirt with Manila shawl fabric.
  • LENALAB project, by Bárbara Nuñez, is an artificial intelligence company applied to the search for scientific knowledge with the aim of accelerating science and development by making it easier and faster to find relevant facts, relationships and new discoveries within the immense amount of scientific literature.

In the company category were finalists:

  • PPa-People's Protection, presented by Arancha Martínez, is an application linked to triple biometric recognition software: facial print, fingerprint and hand vein print.
  • Buying like this is nice, Ana Martín and Ana Martínez presented an original and innovative e-commerce platform that allows the weekly purchase of fresh produce to be made in the easiest, fastest and most comfortable way, using the recipe method. In addition to the purchase, the customer also receives the recipes and the selected weekly plan.
  • labors madrid, Susana Rodas' company that was born as a shop/workshop that aims to provide the people of the Puerta del Ángel neighborhood with the ability to work with their hands and do things by themselves. Today it is based on three pillars: a shop selling clothing and haberdashery materials, a pattern-making and clothing school, and a pattern-making, cutting, and clothing workshop.

While the jury was deliberating, an interesting round table was held in which we had the presence of Isabel Portero, promoter of BIHOPE winner of the second prize in the business category of the 2017 Entrepreneurs Award; Fanny Basanta, winner of the second prize in the idea category of the 2017 Emprendedoras Award, Marta Cuevas, winner of the 2013 Entrepreneurs Award, and Soraya del Portillo, an entrepreneur who has a real virtual reality program.

In this VIII edition, the jury was chaired by Concha Díaz de Villegas, general director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, and as members: Eva Serrano Clavero, president of the Spanish Association of Business Women of Madrid – SEE ME -; Valle López-Quesada Gil, commercial director of Womenalia; Mar de Miguel, General Secretary of the Madrid Hotel Business Association – AEHM -; and Esther Caurín, head of the Entrepreneurs and SMEs Service of the Madrid City Council.

The act ended with recognition, in the form of Entrepreneurial Girl to the sponsors of this year's edition: Villanueva University Center, SEE ME, Womenalia, AEHM and the Entrepreneurs Magazine.
