This new business incubator, located in the district of Villaverde, has a coworking space and a fully equipped kitchen-laboratory of more than 300m2, equipped with everything necessary for them to carry out concept tests, evaluation of prototypes and everything necessary to develop your projects.

In Madrid Food Innovation Hub several incubation and acceleration programs will be developed, with different approaches; and an in-depth training program for entrepreneurs in any area of the agri-food chain.

The business incubator will work to promote Foodtech entrepreneurship, supporting the ecosystem of Madrid startups, in coordination with the strategy developed from Madrid Emprende, which has led the capital to lead the ranking as the best Spanish city for entrepreneurship and the sixth at the European, according to the Financial Times.

After the inauguration of the incubator, the authorities present took a tour of its facilities and learned about the work being carried out by the companies participating in the first incubation program of the Madrid Food Innovation Hub, focused on innovation for HORECA projects.

To finish, the participants of the event tasted a menu made with raw materials from foodtech startups: alternative proteins and vegetables grown in laboratories. The menu has been designed by chef Íñigo Urrechu and the Zalacaín R&D team.
