South Summit Madrid 2023 opened its doors at La Nave in Madrid. This three-day event is an international benchmark in the world of startups. In addition, it serves as a meeting point and main connection for entrepreneurs, investors, startup and corporations globally.
under the motto Today 2030, this edition highlighted the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with great potential and very creative entrepreneurs, capable of creating highly innovative projects to design a better future. Broadly speaking, 2030 is the critical turning point that most countries and society have committed to to drive a better and more sustainable future for all. And because of that, Today 2030 encompassed a clear idea: future sectoral challenges go through the sustainability, inclusion and equality.
Furthermore, during the start-up competition was chosen to startup of the year among the 100 startup most disruptive in the world.
Inauguration of the South Summit 2023
The opening ceremony was attended by José Luis Martínez-Almeida, Mayor of Madrid, accompanied by Ángel Niño, Councilor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Carme Artigas, Secretary of State for Digitization Diego del Alcázar; and María Benjumea, founding president of the South Summit.

The data of the last edition
in the edition of 2022 they all broke participation records, with the presence of 28,000 attendees, of which more than 6,000 were startups and almost 2,000 investors.
Regarding the scheduled events, South Summit 2022 had 680 speakers on 8 stages, with more than 157 hours of content. And, notably, the event brought together representatives of 220 investment funds (an international 72%), with a portfolio of 250 billion dollars and more than 1,66,423 connections were organized.
