The Madrid City Council convenes the III edition of the Talent and Technology Awards 2023, in his interest in promoting and strengthening this competition among Madrid university students, so that advances in technology allow the university to connect with industry and business, through the practical application of the results of the scientific investigation.

All doctors who have presented their doctoral thesis at a university based in the Community of Madrid, whose object is related to development and technological innovation, in fields such as robotics, aerospace, mobility, energy, new materials, circular economy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, telecommunications, biotechnology, food technology, biomedicine, ethical and legal aspects of technology, fintech and new architecture or the like.

The thesis must have been defended and qualified in the period of time between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022.

The total endowment of the prizes reach 100,000 euros, three prizes will be awarded to the best doctoral theses:

  • first prize amounting to 20,000 euros
  • second prize amounting to 15,000 euros
  • third prize amounting to 10,000 euros

 

In addition, they may be awarded at the discretion of the jury, up to eleven second prizes with an economic endowment of 5,000 euros each.

The jury will be made up of teaching or research staff of recognized prestige from universities or research centers based in the Community of Madrid and businessmen with a recognized track record in the technology sector.

The term of presentation of candidacies is open until June 2, 2023.
