In order to raise awareness among the population about what buying counterfeits this Christmas entails and help avoid and detect them, CECU has carried out an informative event about his True or False project. Choose the original last Friday, December 1, at 11 am on the second floor of the Sales Market de Madrid, an excellent place to inform the public in general and that has arisen from the collaboration with the Madrid City Council. During the presentation ceremony, CECU provided Market visitors with information about the project, as well as a reusable bag and an information card.
In addition, at the information point set up by CECU the Director General of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, Concepción Díaz de Villegas, the president of CECU, Fernando Móner, the legal officer of the National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics (STANPA), Fernando Magariños, the Director General of the Association for the Defense of the Brand (ANDEMA), José Antonio Moreno, as well as Patricia García-Escudero and Mónica Castilla from the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO).
Concepción Díaz de Villegas, General Director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, pointed out the problem posed by the purchase of counterfeit products and stressed the City Council's commitment not only in the fight against counterfeiting but also in the task of raising awareness among buyers of the consequences and dangers of purchasing counterfeit products.
The event ended with a tour of the different stalls of the Las Ventas Market, informing merchants about the “True or False” project. Choose the original”
