Visit of the delegation of the municipality of Asunción (Paraguay) to the municipal markets of Madrid

Summary

The visit took place within the Integral Cooperation program promoted by the ICCU, Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities, with the technical assistance of INCIDEM, entity in charge of coordinating the visits. The objective of the Program is to establish an exchange of experiences and learn the general aspects of the management of our 46 municipal markets, mainly from the perspective of revitalization, innovation, promotion of local products, etc., in order to revitalize the main market of your city.

During the visit to the Chamartín Market, the representatives of the municipality of Asunción had the opportunity to see the different stalls, as well as the common areas. Javier Ollero, Director of the Federation of Grouped Commerce and Markets of the Community of Madrid (COCAM)

The visit ended at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Trade and Entrepreneurship, where its Director General Concepción Díaz Villegas received them and exchanged experiences and best practices in the management of the network of municipal markets, the promotion of trade in proximity and the revitalization and promotion of the different commercial areas of the capital.

This visit is the last after a first meeting held last November 14 at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship on Calle Príncipe de Vergara with the Executive Director of the Historic Center and the Director of Urban Planning of the municipality of Asunción and the visits made on December 12 to the Markets of Beautiful valley, Saint Anton and Anton Martin, and on Friday they will visit the one in Chamartín
