Coffee Break with Gina Porcar, CEO of Parallele Moda

Summary

The San Blas business incubator hosted a new Madrid Emprende Coffee Break event with Gina Porcar, founder of Parallele Moda, an agency dedicated to the world of fashion and formerPresident of the Association of Model Agencies of Spain.

DFrom a very young age, it was clear to me that the fashion sector was where I wanted to develop professionally. After living in England where she learns the language, and working in several important fashion agencies, she decides, what she had always wanted, to open her own agency.

From 1999 to 2012 the agency starts, grows and knows success. Unfortunately, like many companies, the crisis took its toll on her and made her rethink many of the projects that were being carried out.

At the moment she continues with different and new projects, which as an entrepreneur that she is, make her feel alive and professionally active.

As an entrepreneur, she tells us that you have to be clear about what you want, that if you don't have it, it's better not to start a business. Once your project is clear, it is essential to set achievable, measurable and time-limited objectives. We cannot forget to recycle ourselves, both the people who work with us and ourselves.

He is aware that, in the development of any business project, there are moments of success, but also of disappointment and failure. For these moments, he recommends that we not come down, the "bad moments always happen and everything comes out," he tells us.

One of the most important qualities for Gina when it comes to entrepreneurship is attitude. He asks us to always be positive; Bad times will come to overcome, obstacles to overcome, but our attitude must always be positive because negativism will not make us solve the problems that any project has throughout life.

The team you surround yourself with is essential to achieving your goals. It is not only having the best but also those who best adapt to your project, with your philosophy, with your mission.

She recommends that we be very aware of the important associations in the sector of our project and that we do not hesitate to join, first because she is in favor that to compete you have to collaborate and then because these are the ones that make you not alone before all the ups and downs of your business. They inform you, help you, advise you, integrate you into the sector where you will have to compete with all the others.

After the act, Gina shared a coffee with those attending the Coffee Break with whom she was able to exchange ideas in a more relaxed way.

If you were unable to attend, you can check the video of the session on our website. Facebook.
