Awarded the prizes of the 10th edition of the Startup Program

In this 10th edition from @SUProgramme have participated 51 projects, in charge of 155 students from 17 universities. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, this final was attended by young entrepreneurs who began their adventure with Startup Program.

Throughout its ten editions, a total of 1,229 students have participated in this program, working on 503 projects, of which 126 reached the final competitions. During each course, professional volunteers from the companies that support the program advise and accompany the different participating teams, helping them to improve and resolve difficulties in all areas of execution to turn their business ideas into reality. Since its inception, a total of 777 volunteers have collaborated with the Startup Programme.

In this edition, the `Madrid City Council Award´ presented by Concha Díaz de Villegas, General Director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, and David Mata, CEO Ergon Desk, winner of the award in the 2013-2014 edition, went to amaqtedu, the proposal of 5 students from the University of Alcalá de Henares to promote social integration through art.

The project biofy Developed by four students from the Malaga University has been the winner of the `Junior Achievement Enterprise Challenge Award' so that it will also be the startup that represents Spain in the next Junior Achievement Europe Enterprise Challenge, next June in Latvia, which is attended by the winners of the program that takes place simultaneously in 17 countries.

melt, a startup run by two UAX students (and brothers at the same time) consisting of a participatory financing platform for individuals to invest in renewable energy projects, also triumphed, winning the Madrid Science Park Foundation and ASCRI Awards.

Blotick, which applies blockchain to implement the smart ticket, was also a double winner with the Visa and Rafael del Pino Foundation Awards. The startup has been developed by 4 engineering students from the Universidad Pontifica de Comillas (ICAI-.ICADE) in Madrid.
