Homeily wins the national mini-company competition and will represent Spain in the European Junior Achievement competition

Summary

Excitement, desire and a lot of entrepreneurship have been the protagonists of the XIV edition of the national mini-business competition which for the first time has been held in an online format. 18 teams of students between 15 and 19 years old participated in this competition on May 6 and 7 to defend their ideas before a jury. 
 
More than 6,700 students from educational centers throughout Spain have been trained during the 2019/2020 school year in the mini-business entrepreneurship program. Accompanied by their teachers and professional volunteers from different companies, the young people have learned different disciplines that have allowed them to launch their entrepreneurial projects. 18 mini-companies have been selected to participate in the XIV national competition and present their ideas to the jury that has evaluated the best projects for their quality, innovative nature and viability. 
 
The The winning mini-company has been Homeily from Oak House School in Barcelona, a mobile application that equitably distributes household chores with the aim of promoting equality through a fun and original method. Alberto Placencia, president of the Junior Achievement Spain Foundation, presented this award. The members of this mini-company will represent Spain in the European Final JA-YE Europe Company of the Year Competition to be held in the month of July with the participation of more than 200 young people from 35 countries trained in the Junior Achievement mini-company program.
