Each of these beneficiaries will receive a grant of 75,000 euros, in addition to participating in a personalized business development program. The project consortium has planned the launch of 4 calls over 2 years, with a rigorous evaluation process that will culminate in the selection of a total of 160 beneficiaries.

Call requirements

The first call, which is currently open, seeks to select 40 emerging companies from deep tech led by women entrepreneurs from the EU and Horizon Europe associated countries. The startup They must meet the established eligibility criteria:

  • Program aimed at deep technology startups (deep tech) founded or co-founded by women in a senior management position (CEO, CTO or equivalent).
  • Women must own at least 25% of the company's shares at the time of filing.
  • The company must be registered and established in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe associated country for at least six months before the filing deadline and a maximum of eight years.
  • The company must be an SME according to European Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC and must be in a phase prior to reaching a minimum viable hi-fi product in addition to having raised less than €1M in capital.
  • Neither the application in its entirety nor any part of it should have benefited from any other similar EU program before, for example the Women TechEU initiative, EmpoWomen, etc.

Main services of the program

Services offered by Women TechEU include:

  • mentoring personalized with monthly meetings for 6 months.
  • Advice on approaching investors and preparing presentations (pitch).
  • Evaluation of preparation for investment and export.
  • Training in interpersonal skills.
  • Development of sales strategies and execution.
  • Environmental impact assessment.
  • Corporate access to opportunities networking and collaboration.
