Selected the projects for the third phase of the III edition of the MAD+ Awards

Summary

The MAD+ Awards for a MORE fair and more supportive MADrid, give way to its second phase with the presentation in format elevator pitch of the 20 projects selected in the first phase.

The main objective of these awards is to contribute to the recognition of original, creative, innovative projects that generate social and/or environmental impact to promote and drive social entrepreneurship, as well as the generation of employment and increase in the country's economic activity, contributing to the promotion of this new type of entrepreneurship.

The evaluation of the projects has been carried out according to the criteria of originality, creativity, disruptiveness, innovation and whose project is oriented to cover social needs in different areas (environment, health and well-being, gastronomy, education, commerce, fashion, finance, commerce electronics, tourism, industry, infrastructure, logistics, energy, etc.)

After the presentations, the jury has selected as finalists:

    10. SILENOLE

The third phase will be held at the end of October, and will consist of a public event in which the finalists will defend their projects for five minutes on a Demo Day.

Endowment of the MAD+ Awards 2019

      • The first will receive a cash prize of 20,000 euros.
      • The second will receive a cash prize of 4,000 euros.

In addition to the economic endowment, it will help to give visibility to the 10 finalist projects by organizing a public event in which each of the ten projects can be presented to members of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem and to the general public.

Composition of the jury

The jury is made up of Concha Díaz de Villegas, general director of commerce and entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council and president of the jury; three members: Mª Ángeles Cantero Bonilla, technical adviser, Estrella Martín Martín, deputy director general for entrepreneurs and SMEs, and Esther Caurin Arribas, head of the service for entrepreneurs and SMEs at Madrid City Council; and Ángeles Elías Aliende, attached to the Entrepreneur's Single Window department, as secretary. 

In addition, the jury has been assisted by Antonella Broglia.
